Milad Taghavi is a PhD student in Apsel Group. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, the M.S. degrees from University of Washington (Hons.) and California Institute of Technology with a focus on mixed-signal integrated circuit design. He was the recipient of the Best Presentation Recognition award in IECON 2014. In research, he is interested in finding solutions that relaxes the existing trade-offs available between power and area in domain-specific resource-constrained applications. He is currently active in three projects including Soft Robotics, Scalable Mesh Networks and Low-power Classification and Inference for wide-band radio-frequency spectrum sensing.
